The Chula Vista Japanese American Story

Currently on display is our Inaugural Exhibition, The Chula Vista Japanese American Story!

This exhibit traces the story of how Chula Vista farmers of Japanese descent were incarcerated following the U.S. response to the attack on December 1941 and bombing of the U.S. Naval Base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii by Japan. The exhibit also documents the Chula Vista Japanese American community’s continued success despite this injustice.
